If you've been a victim of a cryptocurrency scam, you're not alone. It may seem scary, and it may seem like nobody can help, but there are people who CAN help. C4LE is here to help provide direct assistance, or forward information to your local law enforcement.
At the core of this mission is a Detective dedicated to driving impactful change in the fight against cryptocurrency scams. I work for a department that was not too different than most - we'd take the initial call for service on patrol and the case would become inactivated.
We believed that once the funds moved to crypto, it was untraceable, and it was already gone. We also believed that most suspects were international and there was nothing we could do at the local level. It's a case for the Federal partners.
That belief changed when I came across my first crypto case as a Detective. Since then, I have seen a gap in education across most local police departments that directly hinder the investigations. Federal Partners are great at these, but with their own case volume they cannot investigate most cases that are reported locally. Victims on average lose between $15,000 and $25,000, significantly lower than what the Federal Partners can assist on.
The foundation of crypto is not complicated, but due to law enforcement's assumptions, very few investigators get assigned these cases. Due to this, very few victims ever get assistance - leading to further losses or a distrust of law enforcement's abilities.
By providing SIMPLIFIED education around this crime, I deliver training and resources tailored to the needs of law enforcement agencies, designed by law enforcement. I am passionate about equipping crime fighters with the skills and understanding necessary to navigate these cases and help impact your communities.
